“Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor... Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting." – Mother Teresa

Lenny Moves In At UCSB

On Sunday, Father's Day, we moved Lenny to his apt at UCSB. It was exciting, but sad. We will miss having him at home. We wish him success with this new adventure.

Lenny and his dad walk to the beach.

Janet and Andrea Come To Visit

Janet poses in front of Val's staircase. She shows us up in her snazzy pajamas.

Val gets Darla and Daisy ready for a ride on the kayaks.

Darla, Andrea, Daisy, and Val in the kayak. Darla loves to captain the ship.

Janet and I take off from Val's dock out her back door.

Val makes delicious stir fry for dinner while Andrea shows Val how to properly clean mushrooms for cooking. I should have warned Val my family is very bossy in the kitchen.

We stay up playing canasta.

James Gives Leonard A New Toy! JJ & Sandy Drive It In From Texas

The first time Leonard started up the truck pecans came shooting out the exhaust pipe.

A Day of Gardening and Friends

Today I worked in the garden a bit before heading off to Eileen's for a brunch. This morning I picked yellow squash and parsley to put in my scrambled eggs and tomatos. It was delicious. But, not as delicious as Eileen's brunch. The food was spectacular. If you ever get invited to Eileen's for a meal, be sure and go. You won't be disappointed.

Fran Visits

Fran came to visit for a few days. We had a great time playing cards.

You have to watch out for Fran!

Much Going On!

Last week my dear friend, Gina, invited us over for paella. She wanted the boys over one last time before they all go off to college. I took this picture of her boys and my boys as a birthday present for her. Left to right - Luke (20), Alan (16), Lenny (23), Mark (18), Joey (17), Steven (20).
